Good morning happy New Years Eve! 

Hoping we get an early release email today. I did my one email of stuff to do this morning already. I think there are like 3 people working today lol.

Last night I went out to bring in Simon off her tie out and she was GONE! OMG I was so worried but I called her and she came running from down the road. Amazingly after a few loops of running around the yard she came to me and I was able to grab her. She must have had a great time out running around.  Her face was dirty so she was rubbing it on something smelly. Scrubbed her with a wash cloth. She has so many layers of fur you can just wash the top layer lol.

I made sure the clasp thing on her tie out was nice and tight this morning. You have to screw the little closure thing to tighten it. I think it must have not have been tight last night and it came undone.

I went to Joanns last night and got some flannel for the denim squares. Then I came home and cut it (they shorted me 6", I need to remember to pay attention when they are cutting) and then pinned them all together. I wasn't going to put batting in the middle since denim is heavy but it is going to be so thin. So I think I'm going to add a layer of batting and then I'll have to repin them all. They are all similar colors, apparently my dad liked the light denim lol. There were a few pairs of jeans that were my brothers I think and maybe one or two of my moms. I didn't put in the darker squares.

No big plans for tonight other than sewing. The best way to bring in the new year lol.

Hello happy last working Monday of 2024! 

I had like 3 things to do this morning and now I'm caught up until someone sends me something. Most people are still on vacation.

Yesterday my friend Carol and I went to Chicken Ranch Casino. I was losing all my money but then saw someone playing on these machines and winning a lot so I was like I'm going to try one. I cashed out about $170 so I think I might have come out a little ahead when we left :)

We ate at the Wahlburger. It was "ok" but not worth $24. Next time maybe I can try the restaurant upstairs. Hoping I got enough playing points to get a free night there. That would be fun. I love the antique shops in Jamestown which is close by.

We got home earlier than I thought we would (4pm) so I had time to get my new quilt spread out for a picture and a round of the tape roller. I am going to give this one to Rosie since I hadn't made her one yet. 

I thought more of the black would show up after I washed it but it didn't. 

Then I was like guess I should start on that denim quilt my mom wants me to make. I feel guilty working on something else when she asked for something lol.  She brought over a couple boxes of old jeans so I brought one in and started working on it. I decided to do 8" squares. This is what I got out of the first box. Hopefully I can get enough out of the 2nd box. If not I'll have to do some piece work. Hopefully there is also some darker denim in there too. I think I have some of Scott's jeans in my sewing room but I have to find them. I think they are in the hoard pile but in a box under the mess lol. 

The left over. So far I just threw everything that wasn't a good 8" square back in the box to process later.

Snookie is still asleep on my bed. She hadn't noticed I got up so I just left her there. Need to go check on her again. She is one tired old lady. (Scott takes her out before he leaves for work and then brings her back).

I'm waiting for my neighbor friend to come pick me up. We are going to the Casino. Woohoo.

Yesterday I worked on this quilt that I had done the squares for. I got it all done last night and just have to go get it out of the dryer. I don't have time to lay it all out and take a pic yet so leaving it in there for now.

This is the flannel back. Probably will give it to Rosie since I haven't given her one yet.

I also cut apart these cute Valentine's panels. They will make a cute quilt. Maybe a couple of them since there is a lot of them.

Saved this idea off Instagram, they look really nice as a group. Fabric scrap stockings :)

Well lets hope I bring home as much money as I leave with or come home with more! We are meeting my friends 2 adult kids there. Her daughter's birthday is NYE I believe.

Hello happy Saturday!

Melissa & Eric just left for their 10 hour drive home. 

Today is the "holiday's are over day". Should take down the tree and put everything away but I'm tired lol. Maybe later.

Tina was sleeping like this the day after Christmas and I was like same girl same lol. 

She's so cute though. 

Thursday Melissa put together one of her Harry Potter Lego sets she got and I cut up some scrap fabric into squares. Quiet fun lol.

Friday the kids came over while their mom worked. The baby is so close to walking. He'll be walking next week for sure. 

It was nice when they both fell asleep for a bit lol. Right before it was time for mom to come get them! Big brother was playing on the computer. 

Today I think I will be puttering around in my sewing room. It's a disaster from my fabric selling and then shoving things in here for Christmas. It was a mess before all that so it's really a mess now lol. You'd think 3 big trips to the post office to ship off fabric would seem to have made a dent.. Might have to keep working on the destashing lol.

Hello Happy Friday! It's after 7pm but I thought I just finally have quiet time lol. The kids came over today while there mom was working and the big kids were here until 1 then they went somewhere.

I forgot this picture on Christmas Eve of Melissa putting the turtle sandbox together for me.

Had to go to the next window ledge too lol. I'll have to get another stocking holder next year. 

Finally put all the presents out and the ones from my mom too.

The kids came over around noon or so.

My cute Christmas pants didn't make it back through the wash before Christmas so here's me in shorts lol. It gets really hot in my house when everyone is here too.

My mom and I went in to get Jess the Wonderful Wagon. She was so excited.

Baby #4 cooking til the beginning of April. Another April birthday maybe! Might be the end of March. 

Trying out the sand box. This is in the living room still. Scott will have to take it over in the truck and the sand we bought for it too.

Jess & Crew went over to Daniel's dads for the afternoon/evening so it was just the rest of us at the table for dinner. I made lasagna and then roast beef in the crock pot for them to put on rolls as they do.

We had snacked so much all day I thought about not even serving dinner. I borrowed my mom's Christmas plates (they have Christmas trees in the middle). I skipped the sandwich part of the roast beef and just had a little bit to test it out. The lasagna was fantastic if I do say so myself haha. I had some for lunch today. 

Jess & crew came back at like 9pm and the kids were mostly sleeping. Daniel woke up enough to end up cuddled with Grandpa. He's wedged in there just right haha.

The baby went back to sleep in the crib.

We played a couple games of Yahtzee and a game of Trouble then everyone was exhausted and we called it a night.

I think this was the calmest Christmas ever. No one got worked up about anything and we all had fun!
