Good morning happy Tuesday!

Today I have to drive to Petaluma and stay over night so I can be there for some stupid work meeting tomorrow. Forced socialization lol. I'm not even sure why we need to be at this meeting but a night alone maybe won't be the worst thing. Hopefully the hotel bed is comfortable.

Yesterday I made some pork chops and pasta for lunch since we didn't have any lunch type food in the house. Later my stomach was so messed up. I eventually took an Imodium and then later some Pepto so I could go to the store (out of everything). Not sure if it was the pasta or if I have some kind of bug sheesh. Having some coffee now and hoping I don't get sick from it.

I finally went to the store at like 7. After doing that, putting the groceries away then going to fill up all our empty water bottles at the water machine it was 10pm. Yesterday just flew by.

Here's a few more pictures from my trip. More of Monday, we did a lot that day! My friend Cassi who moved to Oregon called me and said her and a friend had decided to go to the coast so we met up in Florence. It was so great to see her!

We went to this Moe's Seafood & Chowder for lunch

We all got the chowder bread bowls except her friend she got a burger.

Of course Scott's first bite he got sand. No one else got any sand lol. He complained for the whole rest of the trip how this chowder had bacon in it. Who cares! Mine was fine haha.

We walked around and went through some of the shops. I should have bought this. It's probably on Amazon somewhere.

We left there and were going to all go to Thor's Well on 101 together. We went one turn out too far and Cassi was like well maybe I was thinking of something else and we said our goodbyes. Scott and I went back one turn out and there it was and you could see it from the top of the road.

Exciting haha

After that we continued on our way to Lincoln City where we were staying for the night
More bridges!

Light house on the cliff

We made it to our hotel, the best part of the whole trip haha. Surftides in Lincoln City Oregon. Next time I go here this is going to be my whole vacation. Like a week.

I had splurged and got a corner view room but I think the rooms on the back of the hotel might have even a better view. That's what I had last time when I went there with my mom and Melissa.

We walked up and down the beach, so calm! Loved it! It was cold and windy but I could stay out there all day looking for shells and stuff.

Well wish me luck later today driving to Petaluma. It's a 2 hour drive. I'm sick of being in the car! I think I will take the more scenic way to get there since it's only like 5 minutes longer.

Hello happy Monday!

Today is my brother Louie's 42nd Birthday. He's getting old ;) No BBQ or anything this year. He said he's just boring now. I said that happens when you get old!

I'm a bit late today since I had stuff to do for work all day. Usually the person covering for me does everything while I'm gone but one office didn't send her stuff I think. Rude! It's ok though since I like being busy.

Yesterday I spent all day sewing my string blocks. I didn't take a fresh picture so I will show you later! I have to go to the grocery store when I'm done here (well, shower first) because we have nothing in this house to eat and we are down to the last roll of toilet paper.

Want more trip pictures? Too bad if you don't!

Monday! We got up and checked out of the hotel. Drove across the street for gas and then went one block over for breakfast. We had breakfast at Double D's Cafe. There was a bit of a wait for a table and they asked us to wait outside and they'd come get us.

Breakfast was good except the hashbrowns were a bit mushy. Scott helped me eat all that bacon.

We parked in front of this place. Too bad it was closed. Although I need more craft supplies like I need a hole in the head. I need to do a big destashing.

Back on the road! So many neat bridges

What's this? Dinosaurs! Had to stop and check out the Prehistoric Gardens.

It was a bit spendy to get in at $14 a person but they have to survive somehow.

This guy peeked out to the road

The dinosaurs were cute but the plants and trees were amazing

They could have added some sound effects or a talking track or something

Look at the size of these leaves!

Scary teeth :)

This was in the front driveway area and little chipmunks were running in and out. So cute!!

That was a nice break on our drive. I'd go again if it was like $5 or I had grandkids with me ;)

Good morning happy Sunday!
My last day off before the dreaded W word tomorrow. Booooo

We made it home safely and I've had enough togetherness to last me a bit haha. If you need me you'll find me in my sewing room ;) Although someone should go to the grocery store. Holding out that someone else will give in before me.

Here's more from our trip. This is from last Sunday after we left the Trees of Mystery Scott stopped at this SeaQuake Brewery. We had to wait a few minutes for a table but not too long.

I'm not a beer drinker so I had this fancy lemon drop.

Scott got a burger and I got these amazing nachos! I got a box to take the left overs but of course they were gross after a few hours of being soggy. I put the box in a bag and put it outside our hotel room and the next morning the bag was in one direction and the empty box was under a car. Apparently some animal thought they were delicious too ;)

Back in the car! Not too far down the road we found Oregon!

Scott pulled over at this little area. It was pretty but WINDY. Also they had a sign that there was poison oak along the fence. If it wasn't so windy we probably would have hung out there for awhile longer.

Our stop for the night, the Pacific Reef Hotel. This place was so cute!

Side note, this is the only hotel who actually charged my credit card for the whole night when we booked it so be ready for that if you go.

We had the unit on the end with a view. Kind of ;)

There it is! Scott kept closing the blinds because there was another unit behind ours and they had to walk past the windows. I'm like we paid to keep those open...

Scott said this shower was like the shower in his parents trailer ;) So tiny! It did the job though.

Of course it was windy here too. At least it wasn't 110 degrees though. We took a bottle of champagne my friend bought me ages ago and went down to the beach to watch the sunset.

Nothing better than a sunset on the beach!

This hotel had some kind of light show something or other but we didn't go to it. Probably would have been nice but we were tired!
