Weekend Sewing and Party

Good morning! I can't believe it is August already. This has been such a quick year!

Friday after work I worked on these Betty Boop items. I'm going to work my way through my character fabric for a bit til I get tired of doing that haha.

Now I'm working on Care Bears and one more Betty Boop print I found on my other shelf. I'm almost done with this pile, just need buttons on the mug cozies, finish the casings/elastics on the masks and finish sewing the bags up. I was working in stages cutting/pinning/sewing etc. Kind of nice doing a few things at once, don't get as tired of making one thing.

I also made my preschool teacher friend two masks. They go back to school today along with a lot of other areas. This is my first year in 22 years that I don't have a kid starting school! It is so weird. But NICE.

Saturday was my brother's 40th birthday party. Hung out most of the day, my sister in law got Mexican food so no one had to cook. 

Melissa had to work but Jess came and brought the baby for a bit. He swam for awhile but Jess said the water was really cold. I sat on the side of the pool and put my feet in and that was heavenly. It was so hot and overcast.

It must have been Friday night I made the last Hello Fresh meal I had. Steakhouse Pork Chops. It was good but not a big fan of how they have you make the green beans. My neighbor came over and gave us more eggs, corn and tomatoes from her backyard farm haha.

Snookie this morning sleeping on Scott's pillow. she had her eyes closed but saw me move so woke up. She's got such a rough life haha. All my doggies are getting old :( My mom's little chihuahua keeps not eating so she might be going for the one way drive soon :(  If only dogs lives as long as we do.

My boss is on vacation this week and I pretty much have nothing to work on so I guess I'll be really doing some work at home if you know what I mean.  We have all these programs overlapping each other and I'm just over here waiting for the huge work load to hit. It's coming, just not this week.
