Well I feel old today. Closing in on 50. Gah.
The weekend ended up being busy. Mom was here Friday night, then Saturday my friend Cassi came over and we went and picked up Togo's and she got me an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. (I'm sure to weight 5000 pounds after today).
Then yesterday I went with Melissa and her boyfriend Eric to check out another car and she ended up getting it with me as a co-signer. She had more than 1/2 down and it is a used car so not too much for a monthly payment if I have to repo it ;) If I hadn't just spent all my extra money I think I would have just paid the other half and had her make payments to me. But this is good for her to get some credit going.
This car lot was in Rio Vista, which I have never been to. It was like a dead town. We took the car for a test drive and this road we went down was along the rail road tracks and it was all old cars and tents, homeless camps for the whole road. Then we went down the old downtown and almost everything was empty and homeless people sitting in the doorways. It was rather shocking. We have a lot of homeless here but just wow.
The kids are supposed to come over for dinner tonight. I wanted Chinese food but I forgot sometimes Chinese is closed on Mondays. We don't have a favorite place anymore either so I need to figure that out. Scott should be home in time for dinner too.
I took the day off work so I can just fart around for the day. Amazingly
The club had a Super Bowl BBQ, judging from the pictures no one wore a mask or did much social distancing. I predict a lot of sick people in my neighborhood in the next 2 weeks. Glad I didn't go.
I did no sewing all weekend and that is what I had planned to do.
Hope you all have a great day!
