Luau Tiki Party Prep-Painting Boxes

I'm on the "Entertainment Committee" out where I live and our last party was a "Luau Party". We started off with a Tiki Party but someone wanted it changed since they do their own big tiki party every year and they didn't want it to get confused as being theirs. So whatever, we had a Luau Tiki party lol.


We started off our prep by having a few paint nights, which were a lot of fun! We all got together and painted boxes for some tiki towers of sorts. Idea courtesy of Pinterest of course!


It was interesting to see everyone's crafty side come out. It was also a great bonding exercise and we ended up having quite a few new people help out with the party after they saw some of our "paint nights" on Facebook.

We kept the top of the boxes untapped so that bricks could be added to hold them down for the party. It worked out pretty well!

They added some nice color and it was practically free decorations!

After the party they were broken down to lay flat to put away to maybe use next year. We'll see if that happens or not!
