Scott brought his mountain bike so he could go ride while we ran. We got up super early and drove to Antioch, which is about an hour away. One hour away takes you from the flat valley floor (us) to hills, hills and more hills. I can't help but think how nice it would be to live just a bit closer to all these fantastic trails they have over there.
We met up at Lisa's house and everyone climbed into our car since Scott has his bike on there. The parking gets filled up fast so we wanted to carpool. When we got there we all started off our run and Scott went off on his bike on another trail.
The trail we were doing was pretty steep and a bit of a challenge, but it was fun! We all did some walking and sometimes one or two would be ahead or behind but we were all generally together.
When we got to the top there is a fantastic view of Pittsburgh. BUT not that day since it was foggy!
Oh well sefie on anyways ;) (nice to hang out with people you met online, they all take selfies too lol)
Lisa said she thought she made a wrong turn on the trail so we just ran about 3 1/4 miles and then turned around and went back. Running down hill was a lot easier than up!
When we got back Scott was no where to be found (and he had the keys to the car). He finally let me know that he was on the other side of the mountain and it was going to be awhile before he got back (wrong turn lol). We were all cold (with our sweatshirts put back on ;)) so we decided to just walk back to Lisa's house.
Eventually he got back and picked me up. We were hungry after our big work out so we stopped at Rubio's on the way back and had some lunch.
Everything always tastes so much better after a hard work out ;) When we got home I had to take a REALLY quick shower and then I was off to book club.
Did the cows just ignore you guys like it was nothing? I saw the big cow patties on the trail. Hope you didn't step in any of those.:-)
