So this is how I started out my morning.
Going for a run with my husband riding his bike? It's a freaking gift I tell you! Makes me all teary-eyed. He's made great improvement in this last week. I have no doubt that he'll have me out killing myself on a bike again with him soon.
But first, I have my half marathon next weekend. ONE WEEK PEOPLE!! I'm pretty excited. A little bit nervous since my legs have been bothering me a bit. Now that I'm done with my last long run (5 miles today) it's just all easy runs from here.
Tomorrow night I'm doing a 3 mile pub run.
How fun does that sound? A bunch of people that I work with and my sister in law are supposed to go. We'll see who shows up, but I'm totally looking forward to it.
After my run I went out to lunch with my friend Twila from high school. I should have taken a picture but I didn't. FAIL. We met up for lunch at Mimi's in Stockton. I noticed that they took the calories off their menu since the last time I was there. Personally I liked having them on there, so much easier to make good choices.
Mimi's is in the same shopping center as REI so I went in there to check out their pants for some compression-y type pants since Scott was saying maybe that would help my legs out a bit. I found a pair of capri type ones that felt pretty good on my legs that were marked down to under $30. I also picked up a new pair of running socks since I can never find a clean pair.
Then I went over to the running shoe store and got fitted for a new pair of shoes. I ended up with some Brooks this time. We'll see how they work out! So I should be all set for my run this weekend. I'm going to wear the shoes and pants tomorrow night and see how they work out. Probably not a good idea to wear newer shoes to run my half in but they will probably feel better than my worn out ones.
Scott just took the turkey we made for dinner out of the oven. So cheating having a turkey before Thanksgiving but we never have it at our house and don't get any turkey sandwiches. AND I was hungry when I went grocery shopping and they were on sale :)
Oh and check this out, my little neighbor hood does monthly newsletters. One of my book club ladies is the one that writes it and she did a little feature about me in there. How cool is that?
Pretty cool :)
