Back On Track-Day 1, I made it!

Well today was my first day back to trying to eat better. I didn't do too bad!

For breakfast I had a protein shake with 1/2 a banana, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and protein powder (and a tray of ice and half a bottle of water).

I have some almonds in my desk from when a farmer brought in a big box to work for us. I had 14 of those and an apple for a snack.

Then I went to Jack In The Box and got a Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad for lunch. I asked for the balsamic dressing with that. I also ate an orange.

Later I had another 14 almonds because I was hungry.

I did NOT eat the cookies in the break room.

After work I went to the grocery store and made a menu and a grocery list from Pinterest in the car. Got my groceries and ate an apple on the way home (left over from my after run food on Sunday and just kicking it in my car).

I got home and made this One-Pan Baked Chicken and Sweet Potatoes. I put in a couple regular potatoes for Scott and the kids since they don't like the sweet potatoes.

I also made soup, zucchini, and broccoli.

And then after dinner was done I put everything in the crock pot for tomorrow's dinner.

Then I sat down and passed out. Oh wait no, I sat down and updated my Lose It for the day.

I'm sitting at about 1605 calories for the day. Not too bad! I probably should have went to the gym but I guess I"m not making it tonight. And now? I should go to bed before I go eat something.

  1. The final comment is hilarious to me! I do the same thing. I can do great and track all day and then I eat a little of everything over and over all night long....night time snacking is MY WORST!!!
