As soon as I started to run my knee was hurting. All I could think was gd mother trucker. Seriously? Am I really going to get messed up from one night of dancing? But after just a short bit it quieted down and eventually just stopped hurting. Woohooo
We weren't even a mile in when Scott backed off. I immediately turned my music up to get myself in a groove. This is my training. I need to keep my head in it. Don't worry about anyone but myself. Eventually I looked back and he was gone.
Which made me a bit sad because I was wanting to leave the neighborhood and go down the road a bit but it's too scary and dangerous to do that by myself. So it was 10 miles in the neighborhood.
I started figuring it out in my head how I was going to attack this now. If I just do the perimeter it's 4 1/2 miles. So even doing it twice would not be enough miles. I decided to just start running each longer road and that pretty much did it. I got to 10 miles right around the corner from my house. I don't know about you but I try to stay as far away from my house as possible until I am close to getting to my total mileage because that way there is less of a chance that I will decide to stop early.
I never glanced at my speed the whole time I was running (thank you new IOS 7 for making me have a pin code to open my phone up, very hard to do while running) and I am really happy with how fast I ran. I'm also very proud of myself for not stopping AT ALL and running the whole time. GO ME!!
Happy Saturday everyone!
I had just enough time to take a shower and get ready and then I had to go to a meeting, which took about an hour to happen. I just finished refilling all those calories burned and now :::yawn::: I think I'll go take a nap!
