Ahh we just got back from our run. I've almost recovered although I think I have about 10 bites on my legs. One for each minute I spent sitting on the front porch cooling down.
I got a little bit closer to my goal today!
If I wouldn't have walked to breathe a few times, maybe I would have made it ;)
This morning Melissa had her freshman orientation. It only cost me $144 plus pictures ($37) today. I think one year with Jessica it was over $200 so I feel kind of lucky that she didn't want to buy the ASB card thing that gets her into all the football games. I'm sure I'll change my tune later when she wants some money to go to the games. Although it's easier to come up with $20 than $200.
She had to be there at 9:00 for the link crew something something that was going on. We left the house around 9 and had to stop at the bank on the way. She looked super cute though and I got a bit teary eyed when I dropped her off in front of the high school and drove away.
Melissa is my quiet one. I have to go find her to make sure she's still breathing half the time. She'll be silently reading in her room.
Jessica? I could hear her. LOUD music, loud yelling, etc haha. They are like night and day. I never worried about Jessica. She will tell everyone what to do and when and how to do it.
Melissa I THINK is also pretty independent but she is not very vocal about her opinions (other than food, she hates almost everything). I'm sure she will be fine but she's my "little girl". She didn't get home until almost 5:00 because she got a ride home with the neighbor girl (who now has pink hair-it was blue not that long ago and has her lip and belly button pierced). They managed to get someone to go buy them a pizza at Little Caesar's across the street from the school, get everywhere they needed to be and find the park to wait for the girl's mom to pick them up (I only had to tell her 2 times how to get there). My little girl is growing up!
In other news I watched an episode of "The Shed" tonight. Oh My God! That show is funny! They had their 70 year old British woman that works there get in an old cast iron tub full of macaroni and cheese (they were making a calendar). I laughed so hard! I'm going to have to watch for when it's on now. Loved it!
