Is it Friday yet? I spent most of my day at work today calling people for the millionth time to remind them to turn in some paper work so that they can get federal grant money. Now I don't know about you but if someone called me on the phone and told me that all I had to do was turn in x y and z papers to get thousands of dollars I'd make sure and get it done.
It's really frustrating to me to have to call these people over and over and tell them that all they have to do is turn in these forms and they are going to get this money. Voice mail, voice mail, voice mail. The minute I leave my desk I come back and have missed their calls. Figures. A couple more weeks and we can move onto the next year's funding cycle and the new batch of busy people.
After work I came home and scooped up the kids and we went to the movies. I took them to see Despicable Me 2. I just saw the end of the first one the other day. (I kind of boycotted kids movies for a couple years there.) We got to the theater 5 minutes after the movie was supposed to start. Stood in line to buy tickets then I sent the kids to get seats and I waited in line to get us some popcorn. AND waited. AND waited. There were tons of people working there and they all looked busy but the line sure did move slow.
By the time I got in the theater I had only missed a couple minutes of the movie so not too bad. When Scott and I went to the movies last week we sat through 25 minutes of previews. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES. It's getting ridiculous. Might as well show up 15-20 minutes after the movie is supposed to start so you don't have to sit there for 4 hours to watch a movie.
Anyhow, the movie was cute. At one point I was thinking man this is TOO LOUD. Ugh officially old I tell you. Amazingly there were no crying kids or anything. Guess they were all it the R rated movies.
Did drive thru food for dinner and then came home and napped on the couch. Then out for a run. Which was really a run/walk/run. Someone's buns are bit sore from the bike ride (not me). He volunteered to hold the dog so I could run some more so I took off and finished up with 4 miles.
Today I tried swapping out my inserts for just using the ones that came with the shoes. When I did my trail run my arch started hurting on my right foot. I was hoping maybe taking the inserts out would help but it didn't. I'm not getting the blisters but now my arch hurts. Can't win I tell ya. I'd actually take the blisters over my arch hurting.
Look at Rusty. He gets so excited when he sees me getting ready to go for a run now. He does pretty good except for when he sees little bunny rabbits. Tries to chase them every time.
We have a 10k to run on Saturday. I'd like to run 6 at least once this week in preparation. I only ran once last week and that was on the treadmill for 2 miles. It's finally cooled off here now though so it's not 97 degrees at 10 pm.

Don't think the expired stuff will hurt you - it just won't help you! My husband takes that and I throw it away. He makes me laugh when he says it didn't work - ah, ya think?
Try the skeletoe shoes from Fila, its almost like running barefoot
Ha ha! I have medicine and food in my house that expired a decade ago! Yikes.
I too would rather blisters than a sore arch or heel. I've got the heel from hell. *sniff*
