I have a 5k to run this Saturday! This will be my 2nd and I'm pretty excited. I feel so much more confident than I did for the last one. This one is on a much bigger scale (and along the ocean, hello!) and I can't wait to be among so many runners.
One of my co-workers is going to run it too (her first) and my trainer is running the half marathon on Sunday. She told me on Tuesday I need to pick a half to run next year and she'll run it with me.
Game on!
I'm about 1/2 way through my 5k-10k training. I'm starting to think I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
How crazy is that?
Pretty freaking crazy for someone that could barely run for 1 1/2 minute intervals not that long ago.
On the MLFit Camp group I'm on someone asked,
Can C25k really get me from can't even run a lap to a 5k?
I just loved everyone's answers. I'm totally a firm believer in the program.
Of course there are a few that didn't like it or have good results, but that is with anything. Someone asked me if I loved running when I first started and I was like "hell no!" I was doing it so I could have another piece of chicken and or a slice of cake (and I still kind of do it for that).
Now though, I like to challenge myself to see if I can go farther and do better. It's like a constant challenge to myself.
