We'll be broke, but skinny!

Well most of my day today has been full of doom and gloom feeling. We got an explanation of benefits from when Scott went to the ER. The insurance I have for my work caps out at $10,000 per person, and the bill?  Most likely will be $45,000. Um yeah sure I can pay that no problem! Scott's boss cancelled his insurance on April 1st without bothering to get a new policy first so that is all the insurance he has.

After feeling sick for most of the day I finally just gave it up to God to take care of. It's amazing how much better I feel.  Either we'll make it or we'll make it. There really is no not making it. It will all work out someway I guess. ::inserts Paypal button:: (Kidding!)

On my lunch today I walked to Carl's Jr. and had a Charbroiled BBQ Chicken Sandwich. I love those things although I'm pretty sure I'm getting to the burn out point really soon.

I seem to do that. I eat something I like until it makes me want to puke. So far the main ingredient on that list is green salad. I bought the stuff to make one today and didn't even eat any. Gross! At least I have it there for Scott.

My other favorite snacks lately Popsicles (must be a brand name, my spell checks wants me to capitalize?).  Missile Pops (around 70 calories) are the best but I've been buying twin pops too ($2 something for a huge bag! and only 50 calories each). Yummy snacks.

I've been eating a ton of fruit too. Watermelon, honey dew, cantaloupe (although that ones getting kind of icky), apricots and plums. Oh and strawberries. YUM.

I think we get to get off work early tomorrow in preparation for the 4th. We are all expecting it so most likely it won't happen. You know, so they keep us on our toes. I'm not sure what we are doing for the big day but most likely it will involve a bbq, a pool and one of my brother's houses. Maybe I'll get brave enough to wear my strapless bathing suit.

  1. Rocket pops are good too, 35 calories and like 7 grams of sugar. Blue Bunny makes them. we also love the minute maid frozen lemonade cups (100 cals)

sorry to hear about your dr bills. That is SO not right that you have to pay all that and it wasn't your fault. But then, cancer and stuff like that isn't our fault either. You have a good attitude about it, I mean what can you do??? worrying doesn't help.

  2. Sending up prayers for you now! God will make a way when there seems to be no way (as the song says).

  3. Just send the hospital $20 a month. They can't report it as long as you are paying SOMETHING.

We will be paying $30 for the rest of our lives for when Fo was in the hospital before we got married.
