Yesterday I went on Trevor's last zoo field trip. I invited my Mom to come with me and she took my nephew out of school so he could go too. Once again so many parents went that I only had Trevor in my group. So it was basically a family trip to the zoo!
I love this little spot for taking a picture. Trevor took this one of my mom and I, I think he did a great job!
It was just cold enough to need a sweatshirt for awhile.
The time and weather must have been perfect for a lot of the animals. They were all running around and frisky. I can't see lemurs without thinking of Zaboomafou. We used to watch that all the time when the kids were little (before we got more than 3 channels)
The flowers were gorgeous there. I could spend all day just walking around looking at the plants.
Roses everywhere
Big fat hairy bees, love them!
Check out the blooms on this succulent
Elephant!
check this out, only 3 years ago
Meerkat lookout!! He was up there forever just looking all around.
Gorgeous!
HUGE vine, so pretty!
Hmmm where can I grow one of these in my yard??
Everything is more fun with blue slushies
To end the day we decided to take the train that goes around to see the kangaroos. We had just missed one and then waited for the next. We got on and then waited and waited and waited and I realized that Trevor should be getting on the bus to go back to school. By the time we got back from our trip to the outback he was ten minutes late and the last one to get on the bus. Whoops! At least we finished the zoo off with a bang!
