I've been reading my book V is for Vengeance the last couple days. Really cracking down on trying to finish reading it since I have to take it back to the library in a couple days. I'm about three fourths of the way through it. It's pretty interesting but last night I kept dozing off. Which was really starting to piss me off because I wanted to read, not sleep. Anyone else every feel like that? After I gave in for about half an hour I was able to pick up back up and read for two more hours. Guess I just needed a little cat nap.
I did take the kids to Target yesterday. That's pretty exhausting. We needed printer paper and lunch stuff so I figured we'd hit Target and get them all in one stop. I told the kids where we were going so they could bring their Christmas money. Trevor bought the Skylander game with some of his money the last time we were there.
This game has little figures that you can buy seperately to help you play the game. It came with three. Yesterday he bought three more, which sell for $7.99 each individually. Target only had three different characters and he got one of each. Scott said last night that there are over twenty characters. Why can't I be smart and make something like this?? 20 x 7.99= 159.80 not to mention the $60 something for the "starter pack". (And OMG the guys are almost $20 EACH on Amazon!!) I doubt he'll ever get them all but it does give me something to look for for his birthday. I guess I should write down the ones he has so I can keep my eyes open for the ones he doesn't.
So that's my exciting life. Looking for overpriced video game characters and trying not to fall asleep while reading my book.
hey you said you had no time for TV you are reading a book. That is something you have to think about - tv is mindless. :-)
ReplyDeleteDamn, I hate that! Finally sit down to read, and my eyes don't want to stay open. Very frustrating, indeed.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of reading, I've been away from the blogging world for a while, so I'm trying to catch up with everyone. May you have a very Happy New Year and I'll see you around the blogosphere!
Cheers,
JB
I get a Christmas card every year from Sue Grafton because my Kinsey is named after her Kinsey.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
