I keep feeling really depressed lately.
I don't know what my problem is.
The sun is out.
School is almost out.
Baseball is almost over.
Softball IS over.
But I still have to go to work.
I still have to do laundry.
And dishes.
And shopping.
And clean up everyone's crap.
It makes me tired.
And no one says thank you for going to the store to buy more toilet paper.
For bringing it in the house.
For putting it on the roll.
For putting the rest in the cabinet.
Is there something about this time of year that makes us depressed?
I'm sorry to hear you've been down. I find that I go through cycles and times of year when I get to feeling that way as well - it usually starts around the fall and likes to come and go throughout the holidays and winter. (It's when I miss my mom the most and I think that has a lot to do with it.)
ReplyDeleteWe will be married all of five years in just a few weeks. My husband has been working two jobs lately (though it's felt like FOREVER) which has made connecting difficult. The other night we went to just sit somewhere before we went to the grocery store together. We shared some queso and Dr Pepper and tried to remember what being married felt like again. It wasn't ultra-romantic, but it's where we're at I guess. I'm not sure if your husband is someone that you could talk openly about how you are feeling or even how you are experiencing him lately, but that could always open the door for conversation?
Hoping some happier moments come your way girl.
I'm sorry Julie. Dh and I don't have a ton to talk about, but he's pretty quiet in general. We talk about what's coming up, and our days, and jobs. Nothing too deep. Maybe you need a weekend away, or a week..lol alone so they can miss you a little bit. Try delegating some chores and making them help you. I haven't been good about that, but I told the kids this summer that they were going to be doing chores.
ReplyDeleteAs far as doing things together, we get away alone once in a while, we take walks most nights, and we grocery shop together :-). Good luck!!
