Amaryllis Love

Right after Christmas I was cruising around Target looking at the clearance deals when I spotted a bunch of forced bulb kids on an end cap.

I've looked at these quite a bit the last few years and decided that for $5 it was worth the risk of me killing it.

Heck the little pot was worth almost that much.

I took it to work and set it up on my desk, and it has become our office entertainment this last week.

 First of all, it's HUGE.

The paper that it came with said it would be about 10" tall. Mine? Is well over 2' tall.

It's nice to have something pretty to look at at work. We don't have any windows in the "cave" area where I work. So what do I do with it when it's done?

  1. It's 2ft now, I can't wait until it's 10ft!! It's awfully pretty, what is it? Nice to think something can thrive in a "cave" huh?

  2. That thing is out of control! I have a Lucky Bamboo named Frank. Frank outgrew his pot and so I put him in a nice fancy one. Well, he apparently HATES it because he's yellowed and forced me to cut him. Literally. He was 3 feet tall and bushy and then I had to cut him to a 5inch stub. Little bastard needs to know who's in charge. :/
