Hanging out in Texas! (Day 1-Wednesday Afternoon)

(editing this post to add the pictures)

Well I haven't been on here in a few days! What have I been up to? We cleaned all weekend! Monday we had a BBQ with our friends at our house and today I flew to Texas to hang out with my friend Sarah for a few days!

I got like 4 hours of sleep last night, so needless to say I actually fell asleep on the plane! I hope I wasn't snoring!! I had to change planes in Vegas. I wish I had time to play some slots, which I might have, but I was too preoccupied trying to find a Diet Coke! They had all these Coke fridge things with no COKE or DIET COKE anywhere to be seen. WTH?? I finally gave up and waited for my little freebie on the plane.

After I got to Texas, we started off the trip right away by going to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens.

It's $4 to get "in" although I'm wondering if anyone would have noticed us wandering around if we wouldn't have went into their office (which was heavy on the mildew smell, gross!)

You can't be anywhere in Texas without seeing a star.

There were some impressive size plants in their Conservatory (I think that is what it was called). There were some HUGE rubber plants. I remember when I was little my mom had one but it was no where near as big as theirs.

I thought this plant was really cool looking! Not sure what it is.

These hibiscus blooms were about the size of a small dinner plate!

This was my favorite part of the garden

Overall the gardens seemed a bit bare, maybe we just missed the high time of the season. Although I loved the section in the middle, it was just beautiful!

Cool Mural

I'll post more later!

  3. Welcome to TEXAS (although, I'm late...sorry)
I've never been to the botanical gardens..I have enough weeds around my house. And no...not the "good" kind.

Due to the huge amounts of Anonymous spam comments I'm going to try the verification for a bit. Sorry, I know it's annoying!
