Busy busy Thursday

Yesterday Jessica had a softball game against the rival high school team in town. Unfortuntely they LOST. Bummer. Their team is really missing the girls that got cut because of their grades. Of course they were some of the best players. Scott had actually made it to the game this time. It's hard for him to make the games since they are so early and he works so far away.

After the game was over, Scott took the boys home. I took Jess over to her Grandma's house in town (sucks living in the country sometimes!) so she could change and then went over to the All District Band Concert that she had to go to for Concert Band.

Note: Never let your kid sign up for more than one activity that happens at the same time of the year!

It was a packed gym with all the schools that are in the school district, which included 2 high schools. Not only was the band there, there was orchestra and choir too.

When they all played at once, with the choir singing their hearts out it was truely amazing. I had to keep looking up at the ceiling so I wouldn't cry. I'm such a sap! I don't know why things like that make me want to cry.

They are just so MOVING!

Afterwards the girls and I went to Chili's for a late dinner, so it was a nice little girls night out.

  1. I am a bit like that too... very emotional when kids make beautiful music! I also love hearing gospel music...yet I never ever go to a church! Weird. I am weird.

  2. I'm like that too. I have to take the kids to their events by myself hoping Angel will get there. It sucks but don't you love it when they make it?
