Hit me
It's hot outside!
I'm trying to plant my tree I bought 2 days ago before my mom comes over and gives me shit for not planting it yet. See, I'm beating her to it. SO I go out and start digging my circle for the tree.
CLUNK
WTF is that?? Oh shit it's the freaking concrete blocks that used to be some kind of walk way to the front door before we moved the front door, and have since been buried by dirt and grass.
Thanks Gophers!!
So now I have to dig out this big ass freaking piece of concrete. Oh and what's this?? There is another one right next to that one so I need to take that one out too because you know, that one out there will look stupid all by itself.
And HOLY MOTHER there is another one on the other side. But you know what, that one is still covered up pretty good so we'll just leave it alone.
So I just dug up 2 freaking huge pieces of concrete, got my tree in the ground and am now trying to distrubute the left over dirt while I take out the grass-weeds that we have for a lawn.
And it's hot.
My head is pounding.
So I am taking a break.
If you have snow, please throw a snowball at me.
Counting My Blessings
I'm so tired.
I am tired of being sick, and just tired period. I shouldn't be tired. I had plenty of sleep, and yet I find myself yearning to go crawl back into bed.
But, my life is not bad. It could be so much worse.

Book Club For March
March was my Mom's turn for Book Club.
She had picked the book What Dreams May Come
All the ladies made it this time!
Not unlike "The Shack", What Dreams May Come focuses on the afterlife and what awaits us (?) on the other side of this life. Although while The Shack focuses on life with Jesus, What Dreams May Come focuses more on the main characters "Soul Mate" that he has left behind.
Here's a little about the book from Amazon.com
Amazon.com Review
A classic novel of love after death, from one our greatest fantasy writers. The premise is deceptively simple: Chris Neilson has died in a car accident, but his life-force--his spirit--is still conscious of this plane of reality. And he is still too in love with his wife, Ann, to completely let go. She in turn does not want to go on living without him, as each regards the other as their soul mate. What Chris will do to get back with Ann after she dies makes for one of the most unusual love stories ever told. Even though the story can be enjoyed as pure fantasy, what makes What Dreams May Come unique is how the author spent years researching the subject of life after death. (An exhaustive bibliography is included to verify this.) And while Matheson admits that the characters are of course fictional, he also states that "With few exceptions, every other detail is derived exclusively from research." Whether, after reading this novel, one believes in life after death is of course a matter of opinion. At least you'll entertain the possibility that, even though we may not live forever, true love can be eternal. --Stanley Wiater --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
It's also been made into a movie with Robin Williams.
Now that I've gotten to know everyone pretty well (I've now made it full circle through the club members each hosting a book club meeting) I've discovered who has similar tastes in books, and I was pretty right in my guesses on who would like this book.
A review of the club members thought on the book:
Me: Didn't like it. I've discovered I hate all books about what happens after death. Hmmm
Mom: Loved it
G: Didn't really like it, especially didn't like all the pain he went through after he died and was seperating from his earth body to his soul body.
CT: Liked it (she believes in reincarnation)
M: Liked it and talked about how she had to get her husband "removed" from her house after he died by having someone come in and cleanse the house (wondering if she ran through the fields in her hippy dress when she was younger?)
JS: Hmm don't remember her saying what she thought about it. She doesn't really like books that are too deep either though.
CK: Hated it (she's our Catholic member)
J: Loved it. She was talking about when she was younger she had read all the book in the library about reincarnation and the likes.
Pretty much the same as The Shack!
I have a copy of this book. If you would like it let me know in the comments and I'll draw a winner on Friday!
So our next book to read is
When The Morning Comes by Cindy Woodsmall.
It is the second in a series
(which the book club read before I joined)
so I'm catching up by reading the first one When The Heart Cries.
The Devil Wears Prada WINNER

Busy busy Thursday
After the game was over, Scott took the boys home. I took Jess over to her Grandma's house in town (sucks living in the country sometimes!) so she could change and then went over to the All District Band Concert that she had to go to for Concert Band.
Note: Never let your kid sign up for more than one activity that happens at the same time of the year!
It was a packed gym with all the schools that are in the school district, which included 2 high schools. Not only was the band there, there was orchestra and choir too.
When they all played at once, with the choir singing their hearts out it was truely amazing. I had to keep looking up at the ceiling so I wouldn't cry. I'm such a sap! I don't know why things like that make me want to cry.
They are just so MOVING!
Afterwards the girls and I went to Chili's for a late dinner, so it was a nice little girls night out.
We have a winner!!
As promised I got up this morning and drew a winner for my
500th Post Celebration!
The winner will receive 5 free bookmarks of her choice!
Thanks for everyone that entered, I had 20 entries this time!!
So congrats to my winner
The Domestic & Frugal Diva!!
Please email me so we can talk about your what kind of bookmarks you would like.

79 Years and Counting!
We made last minute plans to go over there after Jessica's softball practice. They aren't big party people and didn't really do ANYTHING for birthday's when I first started dating Scott. I started bringing them cakes and a little gift on their birthdays and now it's a tradition! Scott's siblings have even stepped up a bit and try to come by on most of them. Plus their parents are getting up there in years so each year is truely a blessing I think!
I called Ann around 3:00 and asked if she was feeling up to some company (she had been diagnosed with bronchitis last week and wasn't feeling well AT ALL). She said sure and that Scott's sister Barbara was there visiting as well. She also said that father in law had already got her a cake (see, she knows me well lol).
While we were at practice she called me to tell me that they were getting KFC for dinner, which again, I was going to stop at Costco and pick up some pizzas, so it's a good thing she called!
We got there and had a nice little visit, although Scott's other sister wasn't very nice. She is mentally handicapped (is like a 12 year old in a 57 year old body), but that's no excuse for totally ignoring me when I ask her a question point blank. Manners. They are a good thing!
Here's my three little monkeys playing on the couch.

The Devil Wears Prada
I know, I know, this book came out FOREVER AGO. Heck even the MOVIE came out FOREVER AGO. I actually saw the movie awhile back.
BUT, I just read the book. I didn't know if I was really going to like it, because lets face it, this thrift store girl isn't that into all those fancy name brands. I get excited by Levi's and Gap!
So I cracked open this book on Saturday night. I spent ALL DAY Sunday reading it. I couldn't put it down! I finally dropped it a few times when I would nod off Sunday night so gave up with a few pages to go. I got up Monday and took the kids to school and came back and finished it up.
It was a great book!
Although I really wanted to reach in and smack that Miranda beotch a few times!! She was sooo mean.
I had a boss like her one time. She wasn't quite as bad but she was BAD!
My friend had got me a job as her "replacement" during the week at this real estate office as a receptionist. It paid GREAT compared to my current job. So I gave my notice and started over at the RE office.
OH MY GOD. The woman was such a high stress yeller. At one point I remember she came in and was yelling "WHO MOVED MY FUCKING FLYERS" about her flyers on the wall. Thank God it wasn't me. Another time she was all worked up about something and turned to walk away and she had actually wet her pants!
I would drive to work in the morning and would get sick to my stomach just thinking about how it was going to be when I got there. After about 2 weeks of working there I called my old boss and begged for her to take me back! Then I had my friend tell the new boss lady that I just couldn't hang because I was too scared to call and tell her myself lol.
So I can definitly relate to how poor Andrea felt working for Miranda, only her stress was about 100 times what I had to deal with!
Now I have to go find the movie so I can watch it again.
OH and I have a copy of this book! It does have a little bit of wear but lots of life left in it. Would you like it?? Just leave a comment and I'll draw a winner next Monday!
Saturday's Scrapbook Expo
Saturday my friend and I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton. Originally we were going to have a big group of people (well like 5 or so) but slowly everyone cancelled on us so it was down to just B and I. This was the first time I had spent any time with B one on one other than the crops that she has at her house.
I went and picked her up at 9:30 and then we drove over to Pleasanton. The parking was EIGHT DOLLARS. What a rip! I think it's been going up about a dollar everytime we go. You'd think they'd give you something for that eight dollars other than the right to park in their parking lot. Like maybe a coupon for something free inside or something.
While we were standing in line I realized I had left my $2 off postcard at home. Luckily a woman noticed and let me use hers because she had another discount paper. This happens almost everytime we go to at least one of us. It's so nice how people are quick to help out their fellow scrapbookers.
So we walked around and bought stuff, I got 2 new scrapbooking t shirts. I love to wear those around the house and even out to run errands or whatever. Here's what one of them says. They were kind of picked over already but they were such a great deal I got 2 anyways!
OH and I got a license plate frame. You can get yours Here. Wonder how long it will take for Scott to notice it? I still have to put it on.
But the highlight of the trip for me was when I found THIS PAPER! Only you bloggers will understand lol.
Here's a close up! I think I'm going to try to work that into my background or header.
After we got done shopping we got back in the car and headed to Mimi's for lunch. It's a tradition that we go there everytime we go to on a trip in that direction with our group of friends.
I had a nice time with B and fun shopping too. Hopefully next time more gals can come because the more the merrier definitly applies to going to the Scrapbook Expo.

Unproductive Day
Then I went back to bed to "read" and took a 3 hour nap. I must have been tired to sleep that long, so I must have NEEDED to rest.
Yaya, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Jessica had a meeting today and about 8 girls showed up that wanted to play softball. YEAH! So they are having open try outs on Monday I guess. The coach pretty much told them if you can play without getting hurt you can play (and have the grades). So the game will go on. Probably not as well since 2 of the best players got kicked off. One had an F by half a percent and the teacher wouldn't budge. Sad but it almost seemed like her parents were lots of pressure so maybe it will be good for her to have some time off (she plays travel ball as well).
I had to go pick her up since the meeting was afterschool and she missed the bus. It's so weird that their school doesn't have a late bus. We had a bus that was for "after school activities" when I was in school so you could get home without your parents having to drive you. That was back in the day when you didn't have to pay to ride the bus either. Ahh the good old days.
Got back from picking up Jess and um read my book some more.
Then I finally got it together and cleaned up the disgusting kitchen and made dinner.
I BBQ'd some chicken. But I had to keep turning the BBQ off because it kept catching on fire inside. Pretty sure it's because it needs to be cleaned inside. Cooked the chicken real quick though lol.
Scott just left and 9 to run to the store and get Jess some athlete's foot medication. Ewwwwwww
Told him to pick up some Mucinex while he's out. Took one of the kids ones this morning and it seemed to help a bit.
So glad tomorrow is Friday. I have a feeling my nephew won't be going to school. He sounded pretty sick today and was saying he wanted to go home and go to bed, which is not normal for a 6 year old.
I should probably go get the tires I need for my car tomorrow morning since I don't have any other plans.
ETA this is my 499 post!! I should, like, give something away tomorrow!

Mom Taxi may be stalled.
I think I've said that before.
I'm tired of coughing.
I'm tired of my kids coughing.
Today I took apart my bedroom and cleaned everything in an effort to get rid off all the dust/mold/whatever that might be making me sick or sicker or just making me cough or whatever. I just about got it all done (it's really fun taking a king size mattress off your bed by yourself without killing and or breaking something). I washed walls, windows, ceilings, baseboards, ceiling fan, sliding glass door.
I broke the glass thing on my light over my bed. WHOOPS. Guess I'll be chaning those little covers.
Tomorrow I need to finish cleaning the 2 walls I didn't get done today. But they are the easy ones, meaning they have no windows/beds/dressers on them.
I had to stop to take Jessica to her practice game. About half her team didn't make grades so their game tomorrow is cancelled. And the whole team might be cancelled.Hmmm kind of reminds me of the summer. Of course this happens after we paid the $75 sports fee to the school that I'm sure we won't get back. They have a meeting after school tomorrow. Don't know what's going to happen besides saying they don't have a team but we will see.
Sucks.
But on the upside, if it is cancelled I won't have to drive all over everywhere anymore.
:::small little cheer that Jessica can't hear::::
Last night I didn't get home until late because I was waiting for her band concert to get done. That was after waiting for her to get done with softball practice. Then driving her to another city. I spent about 7 hours yesterday waiting.
On the upside I finished my book. It was pretty good. Debating on using that one for when it's my turn to pick for book club. I'm after the next one, so May.
I need to go put the curtains back on the windows so I can go to sleep.
Hopefully I'll cough less tonight.

Are you a snooper?
Do you look at your kid's myspace?
Do you read notes that they leave in their jeans?
Diaries and notebooks left in their rooms?
Eavesdrop on their phone calls and conversations with friends?
Read their text messages??
Their emails?
If you do, what do you do when you find things that you don't agree with? Do you confront the teenager and let them know that you were snooping in their stuff? Or just drop subtle hints about things you know about? Or do you just try to work things in to the conversations you have (if you have them?).
It's a fine line we walk being mom's of teenagers.

Weekend Round Up
Saturday morning Scott took Trevor fishing. I didn't get any pictures but they came back dirty and Scott had ripped out the back of his pants. HAHAHAHA wish I could have gotten a picture of that in action. They didn't catch any fish but they had lots of nibbles, which I think is probably just as good when it comes to fishing, which in my book is the most BORING sport there is.
The weather was BEAUTIFUL here, So after they got back Scott and Trevor and I went to go watch my nephew's first baseball game in town. We didn't take any sweatshirts or anything because it was so nice out. As we were driving to town I see trees swaying violently. I said, ummm I think it's going to be windy in town... Yeah just a bit of an understatment.
Thank God I had a blanket in the back of the car because it was freezing in town! We got to the ball park and people are wrapped up in huge jackets, blankets, ear muffs. Our family?? T shirts, capri pants, jeans and sandals. Slightly dressed inappropriately. We made it through one inning and then decided to leave because we couldn't hang lol.
Then we went to Wal Mart (I told Scott TARGET or WM so of course he picked the evil one, TG all the scary people stayed home that day) to get Melissa's friend a birthday gift. While we were there our friend called Scott and wanted some help moving his pool table into the house. We went over there and watched the guys try to give themselves a hernia for about an hour until they finally got it in the house. THEN we went to go get the guys hair cuts. I had been trying to get Trevor's to grow out a bit but apparently he had other ideas because he took the scissors to the front of it. It's REALLY short in the front now.
After we got home I had to get ready to go to my friend's house to scrapbook. I got home around 11:30 or so so it was a really long day!

Enjoying The Weather
I was just uploading some pictures from yesterday and found this one from Tuesday. One of these days I'm going to have to get up and go THROUGH the fence to get some good pictures! Their team won Tuesday. The score was something like five million to zero. It was kind of funny, the coach started having them bat with their opposite hand so that it would speed the game up a bit.
Yesterday I got up bright and early and actually felt RESTED. I got the recycling to the recycling center ($30!), went to Target, Home Depot and Costco.
When I was driving up to the house when I got home I saw this:
That is Trevor's precious "Puppy" that he sleeps with most nights. He spent the night in the newspaper box lol. Glad no one walked by and took him. Good thing we live in a secluded area! (and that's one of my projects with all the dirt there lol)
When I got home I let Tabbie out to run for a few minutes while I was bringing the groceries in. She immediately found a pile of crap somewhere and rolled in it. STUPID DOG!! So here she is after she got a bath. I tied her to the table while I worked in the yard a bit.
(see all that grass?? I mowed all that and more the other day!)
Then it was time to pick up the kids and go to Jessica's game. I didn't take any pictures though. I thought for sure they were going to lose there but all of a sudden they came back and won the game. GO BULLDOGS!! Final score was 8 to 5. Scott's parents came and watched the game. Nice when your family comes to support you!
After the game Jessica was in a pissy mood so we came home and I high tailed it outside and sat at my table and enjoyed my dinner without hearing her complain :) She was grouchy all night stressing out about homework. Hopefully she will be in a better mood today. She is supposed to go to the movies tonight with her new Aunt.
If I ever get off my duff and get moving I want to go to Home Depot and get a few more flowers to put in my new flower bed I made yesterday. Lucky for us no softball today. Just Melissa has Girl Scouts so I have to pick her up but that won't interrupt dinner or anything.

I (heart) the Sun!
Thank you sun for coming out yesterday and making it a lovely afternoon! I slept (and read) until almost 12 yesterday afternoon. Finally dragged myself up.
After the little kids got home I went outside and worked in the yard. I got all my little tree rings on the side of the house, my little flower bed and all along the side of the house cleaned up. My palm of my hand is really sore now! I think I need to buy some garden gloves. I want to pick up some new bright flowers to stick in the flower beds.
Hopfully Trevor makes it through the day at school &&&&crossing fingers&&&& although I doubt he is going to make it since he was coughing still after his inhaler, cold meds and I had him take a Clartin on the way out the door.
Melissa wanted to stay home because her nose was stuffed up but I gave her some meds and sent her on her way. Mean mommy!
I need to actually GO somewhere today. I need to take in the recycling I got bagged up and stop at Costco and get some water and some snacks. Nothing for the kids to snack on around here.
I got up early this morning and took a shower and did my make up. Just need to fix up my hair and I'm good to go!
Jess has a game this afternoon but it's in town (YEAH!!) So that's what we will be doing this afternoon. Wish her luck!!

Where oh where is the heat??
Can the sun come out and burn off all the crap growing and make us all well now please???
It was 34 degrees this morning. COME ON!! It's almost spring. We live in California. I think the sun forgot to eat it's Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwhich lately or something.
Trevor is home and taking over my tv today. Yesterday I had to go pick him up because he was coughing his head off. Got him home and he hardly coughed at all. But then he was coughing like crazy again this morning.
Tomorrow he must got to school so I can watch Regis & Kelly. I'm having withdrawls.
Thank God the coffee is almost done. Maybe a good shot of caffine will help me out.

Cute Little Dog Hat!
It was on Cuteoverload.com today.
Reminds me of "Rudy"
Rudy was my old boss' dog. He was a Boston Terrier and looked like that dog above only he was gray.
AND MEAN.
I worked in the back office a lot doing accounts receivables and payables. My boss would bring her dogS to work with her when she decided to show up.
Rudy really liked my chair. If I got up he would jump in it, even though he had a huge dog bed that took up 1/4th of the tiny little office. The first time he did it I tried to push him off.
He tried to take off my hand.
So after that I would "dump" his ass off my chair.
Yeah he wasn't quite as cute as that one in the cute little hat.

Sissy's Song
And then there is this one
which brings me to this one
and a few more like that.
Such a beautiful song.
Lazy Day Sunday
When I finally got up I started my day with washing the dishes I've been putting off forever. Then I went to change the time on the clock over the kitchen window.
Which was dirty.
And the curtains were dirty.
And the window was dirty.
So I spent quite a bit of time cleaning all that and still need to go out and get the curtains out of the dryer.
Then I took a nap. For a few hours.
Did a load of laundry, took a shower.
Decided to clean the window in the shower too.
And the counter.
And the floor.
Sat and watched TV for awhile.
Then made dinner.
And now here I am.
Scott is gone until Tuesday on a "guys" camping trip so it's just me holding down the fort.
I must remember to put the big garbage tote at the curb.

A New Sister In Law and more Taxi service
They are planning on having a "bigger wedding" at a later date, a few months :cough: cough: down the road. She's totally cute and fun so I'm glad she is now apart of our family.
So came home last night, Scott was crashed out in the chair. He got up this morning and left for a 4 day camping/fishing trip with a friend. This is only the 2nd time he's ever went somewhere without me. I think it will be good for him though! BUT that means I have no back up! So that is why the little kids went to their Grandma's. Because Jessica had to be at the softball field at 7:15 this morning.
And it was COLD. She was so not "in the game". We were a few minutes late (like 10) and I guess the other girls on the team jumped all over her. She takes things REALLY HARD and so she didn't do too well the first game.
After that game was over (they won) we had about an hour to kill and she just wanted to LEAVE. Didn't care where to. So we went to Kmart down the road so I could get a new car charger (Scott stole my other one), then she decided on some Jamba Juice. BUT while we are in the car she is fighting with one of her friends via text message. NICE.
I wish this kid could just find a best friend and just keep them forever. Is it really that hard?? At least through high school would be nice. You know, that one person that you can tell everything to and they tell everything to you and you pinkie promise to be BFF.
:sigh:
So we got back and she was hanging out with some other girls from her team and our other team from our city and seemed to be doing ok so I just went and sat down and watched another team's game until it was time for theirs.
She did a little better on the 2nd game, but she still looked like she was exhausted. Which she probably was because I sure was! (BTW they ended the game in a tie, how weird is that?)
After the game was over I dropped her off at home, went and picked up the little kids, then came home and crashed out on the couch. She had to wake me up to take her to town so she could serve at the big band dinner thing they are having tonight (which we aren't going at $40 PER ticket OUCH). It's required to go or their grade gets dropped in that class. I have to go pick her up at 10 tonight. Weeeeee

Band Concert
Afterwards we went to Applebees for dinner and Jessica was all excited we got the
Batman table!
Today she has 2 softball games, one at 3:30 and one at 6:30.
I do have 2 other kids, I swear!

Golden Girl?
I remember when I was a kid and The Golden Girls would come on. It was always kind of funny, although I probably didn't get ALL the jokes.
Today Jessica wanted me to come pick her up from school because she didn't feel good. I decided I'd be nice and went and picked her up. When we got home she layed (is that a word? or is it laid) down on the couch and put a show on. After that show was over (don't even remember what it was) The Golden Girls came on.
Ok so I just left it because it is kind of funny. But then I started looking at the women a little more carefully and you know, they all really didn't even look that old. Hardly any wrinkles! Actually I think I might have a few more wrinkles around my eyes than they had. Kind of scary. I definitly hope I'm not reaching "Golden Girl" status anytime soon!!
Taxi Mom Goes to Softball
I could really just crawl back into bed right now, but I'd only have 15 minutes more to sleep before I'd have to get up again so it's not really worth it.
So yesterday was Jessica's first softball game. It was threatening rain all day. Game time came around and it was still not raining yet so they still had the game. By the time I got there with the little kids they had already started.
The whole time they were playing it kept sprinking. Thought for sure it was going to down pour but they got lucky! I think the final score was 16-13.
Today she gets out of practice because she has a band concert. I'm so glad I only have kid in high school at a time. Way to space out those kids! Of course, it's in town and she's supposed to be there an hour and half BEFORE the concert starts. I think that's way to flipping early. I think we might be late.
Being a 1st base coach
Jessica played 3rd base for the whole game. She struck out once, got walked once and got a base hit the last time she was up. Their team was really struggling in the beginning but all of a sudden they just took off and they actually went through the batting order two times and almost a third. The other team ALMOST caught up the last time they were up but they held them off.

Woohoooo
The other day when I went shopping I took all these Staples rewards check things I had for recycling my ink (and buying ink) and bought myself this little cheapy mp3 player. It cost me a whole $5 after my rewards checks and the $5 coupon they had in their ad.
I just figured out how to load it all by myself with out my teenager helping me.
::raises fist in the air and punches the sky::
Now to figure out how to add NEW music (not on my cd's).
Feeling a little better
I'm going to try to work on the strap things I have here to sew for my brother's work. I've had them for a few weeks but have been too busy or too sick to work on them. He probably thinks I'm not ever going to finish them.
Today is Jessica's first high school softball game! Hopefully she gets to play since she stayed home sick yesterday. She was still coughing a lot this morning. This really ANNOYING cough. Such a horrible mother getting annoyed by my kid being sick lol. Anyhow, hopefully she gets to play and it's here in town so that is the best part.
I'm going to throw a roast in the crock pot so that we will have dinner done when we get home. I know everyone will be starving by the time we are done. Need to pack some snacks to take too. I wonder if they will have the snack bar open. If so I'll have to bring a couple dollars for the kids, they think the snack bar is the most exciting thing.

A Shopping we will go..
Today I finally got around to going through all my coupons. I've been saving them up for months. My neighbor gives me hers, my mil gives me hers, and sometime I get them from my mom too. So I had A LOT of coupons to go through. Add to that the ones I had organized from the last 6 months or so that had SOME good ones left. It took me a few hours but I got it done (I just filed them away by dates in a little file box, didn't actually cut them all out). Then I went to Coupon Mom and printed out the good deals. Matched up my coupons and went to the store.
I started off at Target. I had printed off the coupons from their site. I went around the store and got my stuff, went up to the register, the girl rang me up. Then she tells me that they don't take internet coupons. Not even from their OWN website. How fucking stupid is that?? The manager came over and confirmed it. So I got my coupons back and walked out with nothing. Stupid.
Then I went to Walgreens and got most of the things I wanted. A few things were out of stock but I didn't feel like getting a rain check. The candy I bought didn't ring up right but eventually the girl figured it out. (I think that was a sign from God that I shouldn't have been buying candy, what do you think?)
Next was Safeway. I haven't been shopping at Safeway much. It used to be Pak N Save with all of Safeways sales. But you put your own groceries in your bag and their everyday prices were similar to Food 4 Less. Yeah, not so much anymore. Although I did get most of the meats that were on sale. I tried not to buy much that wasn't on my sale & coupon list.
After that I hopped over to Costco to get water and bread. You just can't beat their prices for bread there.
Then I came home and made Scott help me unload it all and then made him cook dinner. I'm so nice!!
It feels like we have a ton of food now. I am looking forward to building my stockpile back up. I used to be HUGE into doing my coupons but then I guess I just got too busy and didn't have time for it and slacked off. If you stay steady and do it each week you can save huge amounts of money on your grocery bills. I got started by doing the The Grocery Game and reading a lot on Teri's Message Board. I use the Coupon Mom site now because it is free and it's basically the same information.
My goal this week is to get all my coupons in my coupon binder. It's much easier to shop that way for me. First I have to steal all my pages back from Trevor's Pokemon binder though!
