Friday morning I went to my friend's house to scrapbook. Around lunch time I heard my phone with a voice mail message. I had 3 messages even though my phone never rang? I called and listened to them and it was the school calling that Trevor was sick, my brother calling (he's on the emergency list) and Scott calling (also because the school called him at work). So I talked to my brother and he was going to get him since he was closer. I packed up my stuff, my friend made my lunch to go and I rushed home to meet my brother. When I was almost home I passed my brother. He had JUST left to go get him. I think he'd had at least an hour from the time the school called. Obviously I was NOT HAPPY. I flipped around and he pulled over. He had his new girlfriend with him. AHHH that's what the deal was! So I yelled at him, "YOU ARE JUST LEAVING???" and he said yeah. and I yelled "WHAT! WERE YOU GETTING A NOONER!?!?!" and drove off to the sound of him laughing. Later I opologized lol. He said he thought it was funny. It's times like that that I can't believe what flies out of my mouth sometimes. I'm sure his new girl friend was REALLY impressed with me.
So I went to the school and they sent me back to get him. Apparently he had fallen asleep during stations and then again during lunch time recess in the classroom. Poor kid! I scooped him up and took him home where he slept for just about the whole day. He was running a low grade fever. That night he climbed into my bed and was burning up. I got up and took his temperature and it was 103.7. YIKES!! More Tylenol and back to bed. He's still been sick today, with lots of coughing and a few trips to the bathroom with changes of pants. I really hope he feels better tomorrow. If not I think I will take him in to the urgent care. I hope he doesn't have an ear infection or bronchitis.
So now my throat is feeling a little scratchy. Hopefully I'm just being a hypercondriac!!
This morning I left the kids home and went to breakfast with my girlfriends. We had a nice time hanging out. After breakfast we went to Barnes & Nobles since my one friend had some returns to make and I picked up a new book called Firefly Lane. So far it's pretty good! Then we went over to See's candy and they got some gifts and I got some candy and ate it. Yum! I only got a few pieces because I knew if I bought a box I'd be pigging out lol. I cannot resist candy.
No fun plans for tomorrow's Superbowl here. Scott's not a huge football fan plus we don't have many friends lol. Maybe if Trevor is feeling better we can get out for a little date or something.

Another Day Another Thrift Store
Today I decided to go out and about a bit. I went and picked up my ring, which is all nice and sparkly and has all the diamonds in it again. Then I went down the street and ate lunch at my favorite Deli. Scott and I used to eat there all the time way back in the days when we only had one kid and both worked downtown. He used to walk over to my work and then we'd walk over to the Deli for lunch. I always feel a bit nostalgic when I eat there.
I drove over to Goodwill and browsed a bit and bought a few things. I noticed that they raised the prices of their children's clothes up by .25 or so. You'd think in these hard times they would be lowering them a bit to help out the people that fit their clientele. But, I guess they are out to make a buck like everyone else.
After that I went over to another little thrift store we have in town and did a quick browse of their children's clothing section. I found a few cute things and when I went to pay noticed they are having a sale on Saturday. 1/2 off the entire store! I might have to stop by there after I go to my breakfast date I have with my girlfriends.
Then I raced in home in time to meet the bus and pick up the kids. Melissa went over to her friends house and the boys and I went over to Costco to get this weeks groceries. The boys were so cute today they had me laughing with their little jokes and what not. It's nice to be able to take the kids out and not be stressed.
After THAT we went to Little Caesars to pick up some pizza for Jessica. She had been craving it all day! She stayed home today since she was still recovering from her surgery yesterday.
When we got home the kids played for a few minutes and then went over to my brother's house for awhile. I went and picked them up and hung out with my brother and his friend. Then the girl that my brother is dating came over. She seems really nice. She brought Thai food for them and gave me a mango dessert I guess she had picked up for me. I haven't tried it yet since I'm full of pizza. Hopefully it will still be good tomorrow. I thought that was really nice of her to bring something for me!
I'm printing out some pictures to scrapbook tomorrow. I'm going over to my friend's house to hang out and scrap! Should be fun but I probably should have got my stuff ready earlier today. I'm about exhausted and ready to go to bed.
Editing to add lol
I just went in to play tooth fairy (GO ME I didn't forget!) and my son is sleeping with a box on his head. haha Don't worry it's got a big hole in it so he can breathe.

Jessica & A Celebration!
We started out the morning early.
FIVE AM early. I am sooo not a morning person. Especially when I stay up until 12:30 popping stupid balloons. In hind sight I think I drank way to much Diet Coke yesterday. That and and being worried about the surgery had me amped up pretty good.
So I got up, skipped a shower, make up and jeans and went straight for the sweatpants and pony tail. I made some coffee, lunch for the little kids, threw on a sweatshirt and my tennis shoes and was ready to roll.
My Mom came over and went with us, while Scott went to work late so he could take the little kids to school. She actually got here ON TIME. WHOOP WHOOP.
So I'm driving and I kind of have a general idea where we are going (it's a SURGERY CENTER) and sipping my coffee when I realize it's been dripping out of the side of the cup down the front of my nice light gray sweatshirt. LOVELY.
We get there and go in and they take my plastic for $730 (deductibles are SO MUCH FUN!) then they take us in and get her ready. She's all smiley and giggly, which I'm sure is mostly nerves. After telling the nurse several times that she doesn't need to take a pregnancy test (OMG PEOPLE YOU ARE KILLING ME!! FOURTEEN!!), because she is a VIRGIN (her words TG), she got her IV and they eventually took her in.
3 games of Tetris later it was time to bring the car around because she was done. I went in to sit with her in the recovery room. She was crying a bit, said her throat was hurting really bad. They took fat out of her ear lobe to patch her ear drums and only had to use the right ear lobe so she only has a few stitches on the one ear. After feeding her some ice chips, getting some Sunny D, then finally getting dressed we were in the car and on our way.
Mom offered to buy some breakfast if we went through a drive through. We hit McD's, where after driving half way down the road I realized they gave me the wrong sandwich. Jessica only wanted orange juice. Then she took my hashbrown and half my egg biscuit thing (BLECH, the McGriddles are SO much better).
We went home and I dropped her off and took Melissa her backpack and sax that she had left in the car. Whoops! Then we headed to Wal Mart to get Jessica's prescription filled.
UGH. Do I need to go on about the pharmacy at WM? After 20 minutes of waiting in line I find out that they didn't receive the fax yet?? And to go to the other window, where they DO have the fax but haven't done anything with it yet so I have to come back in an hour to get it.
Lucky for me I had my MOM with me, who, if ever you need to kill time shopping is a MASTER. Seriously.
We left Wal Mart and went to K-Mart to look for some curtains. Like an hour later we finally left K-Mart and I know all about the things she wants to do to decorate for CHRISTMAS. Yes. OMG she's a nut!
Go back to Wal Mart and get the prescription, no line, amazing! Hit Subway for lunch for Jess, then Jamba Juice for Jess since her throat was hurting so bad, then something for me from Panda Express (yeah the diet died on day 3).
FINALLY go back home, half the day is gone! Jess went to sleep not too long after I got home and is STILL asleep. I just went in to check on her and she's out cold. No fever and still breathing. I'm thinking she's going to need to take another day off school tomorrow, which really sucks when you have high level classes with lots of work and test and such.
So what's the celebration?? I just made my 100TH BOOKMARK. Crazy! I never thought when I made those first few for bookclub I'd end up making 100 of them. Don't forget to enter to win 3 free Valentine's bookmarks!

A Little Nervous
Today was a pretty unproductive day today. Unless you count winning a few games of Poppit! (pogo.com don't curse me when you become an addict).
After filling the day with that, it was time to go pick up the kids. I had to go pick up Jessica at school so that we would be able to make her 4:00 Dr's appt for her sports physical. We got there with 5 minutes to spare, go me! (I only sped a little bit..)
When they called her in she said she could go in by herself. I'm sure the whole staff there thought I was nuts as I was yelling "Don't let them give you any shots!" They keep pushing that Guardasil shot and I do not want her to get that.
When she came out she said that they asked her about 4 times if she'd had sex yet. OMG! NO, she's 14, she's my baby, she's NEVER doing the dirty deed. (one can hope, at least until she's 30 or so)
Then we all piled in the car, and drove next door to the ENT office to get her pre-surgery papers for Jessica's ear surgery tomorrow. I drove into the parking lot, and had to stop abruptly as Grandma Moses was trying to back out of the handicapped parking space. She wasn't even looking my way so I stopped. She FINALLY looked my way so I drove real quick into a parking space while she was paused. I got out of the car, walked around the back of her car and was half way up the outside staircase by the time she finally got going. SERIOUSLY if it takes you 10 minutes to get out of a parking spot, you shouldn't be driving. I'm sorry but how quick is your reaction time??
I went into the office and the spaz girl that works at the counter (she has THE WEIRDEST hair styles I've ever seen) pulled our paper work out of the TRASH CAN. Nice. You'd think they would at least shred something with your name on it but I guess not.
Jess has to be there at 6 tomorrow morning for her 7 am surgery time. I asked Scott to go to work late so he can take the little kids to school. I was going to have my brother take them but that's way to early to get them up if I don't have to.
I'm really hoping this is the last thing she has to have done to her ears. Poor kid!

A few snippets
My day today wasn't too exciting, although I have enjoyed all the comments for my Bookmark Giveaway!
There was quite a bit of action going on next door. I'm still not sure if we are getting new neighbors or if there is just a crew cleaning up I DO know that I don't like people over there. I'm used to having my little area ALL TO MYSELF. Although it WOULD be nice if someone nice and friendly my age moved in. Although that never seems to be my luck. I wonder if their name is Joe. The two people that have lived in that house while we have lived here have both been named Joe. I thought that was kind of strange. We'll just call it Joe's house forever. Although from the looks of it it might be Jose that moves in this time.
My brother called and wanted to stop by and show me something today. I was kind of scared. I was thinking on no he found a kitten! He's going to bring it over and I'm not going to be able to resist!! But no. He brought over a strap type thing with Velcros on the end. His job is going to pay me to assemble them. I'm not so looking forward to doing it but the $$$?? Yeah that is my motivator. I will be a sewing MACHINE!! har har
Really I haven't been drinking.. only hot COCOA as my kids call it. They are strange. It's HOT CHOCOLATE. No idea where they got all sophisticated on me.
So I went to pick Melissa up from GATE today. They stay after on Monday's and do art. I asked her what she did today. She says
We drew SPERM
Me: OMG!! SPERM!! WTH are those teachers thinking she's only in 4Th grade!!!
Then she says "whales".
Me: ohhhh thank you Jesus! It was a Sperm WHALE that they were drawing.
Then my mind starts to wonder while she is chatting about her drawing stuff. I'm thinking to myself. WTH do they call it a sperm whale? That's just freaking wrong!?! Are the girls called SPERM whales too? And they have baby sperms floating around with them?? And I really don't like the word SPERM coming out of my baby girls mouth! EWWW OMG I can't believe I just typed that.
That should get me some Google hits. I think I need to go wash my brain out with some hot COCOA.

Got Milk?
Is this not the weirdest milk carton you've ever seen??
ETA: It's still one gallon!?! And it's kind of hard to pour. Getting the last out was a bit like getting the last out of your laundry soap. According to my friend Sarah it is supposed to be better for you if the milk isn't in a clear container.

Book Club for January
Today was Book Club day! It was so nice and sunny outside I decided to walk over to the house it was being hosted at. The lady that was hosting it lives really close to my brother so I knew it would only take me a few minutes to walk there. I went outside and quickly decided that I had better take a sweatshirt! After I started walking I was thinking to myself how deseaving the sunshine had been. It was COLD! It was WINDY! But it wasn't too far to go so I just told myself I was fine and to keep on walking.
When I got there all the other ladies but my Mom and my neighbor that lives two doors down were already there. This was my first time in this house and it was very cozy inside. The walls were a nice light wood paneling and the ceiling was also done in the same light wood with the open beam look. All the houses out where I live are so unique it's always fun to see what someone else has! She had a lot of pictures of cats and foxes and cute little little girl type things around the house, like stuffed little kitties peaking around the corners.
I came in and sat down and set down my books that I had brought with me. I'm not one to hold onto books long so I had brought a book my Mom had bought me and wanted to read (Dewey:The Small Town Library Cat Who Touched The World), Barefoot, and The Last Summer of You and Me to pass along. I had a taker for The Last Summer book but poor Barefoot came home with me.
Everyone was having a glass of wine but I opted for a bottle of water, I'm really not a wine drinker. Maybe I should be come one though. I always see how cheap some of the bottles are when I got to Costco! My Mom got there after a few minutes. Everyone sat around and chatted which is what most of the bookclub is about! I have to say this time though I don't think there was any gossip! I think that was a first.
Everyone thanked me for the bookmarks I had made for Christmas gifts (those were the first ones I had made!) and the hostess told us she had bookmarks she had bought awhile back for us but they looked plain compared to the ones I had made. I felt kind of bad! I made sure to get up first and go check them out and picked out a cute one with a dog and cat on it.
Eventually we got around to discussing the book. It was The Shack.
I actually read it way back in early December so it wasn't real fresh in my mind. Everyone talked a bit about what they thought about the book and I was really surprised by what people said.
Book club member #1 said that she believes in reincarnation.
Book club member #2 read the book, and then reread it a second time. She said the second time she read the book she didn't like it as much as the first because she felt the author had put things in to make it appeal to different religious things.
Book club member #3, the one that was hosting and had picked the book mostly just said she thought it was a great book, and had heard one woman (not in bookclub) say it changed her thinking about God.
Book club member #4, who was raised Catholic, said she liked the book as a "Book" but not as something to teach you about how God is.
Book club member #5 said she had a hard time dealing with the fact that the bad person in the story is accepted the same as the non bad people.
Book club member #6 said that she thinks life is like a path and you have to go through each step to get to where you are going (but kind of like a choose your own path/ending way).
Pretty much everyone said that they believe we are in this life to help us build up our souls to go onto the next life.
All in all very interesting listening to how others interpret the book and their different takes on religion and how things work when you die and in the afterlife.
Our next book to read is The Babysitter which looks pretty interesting.
After book club my mom walked home with me and I gave her a ride home (my dad was supposed to be at my brother's house but wasn't and the line was busy when she tried to call him). How funny we both didn't have a ride on the one day I decided to walk.

Spent the morning playing around on the computer. The neighbor came over and used my phone because hers isn't working and she needed to call the phone company. They are going to come out on MONDAY to fix her phone. Good thing she has a pay as you go type phone for back up (She's 80!)
While she was here she was commenting on all that we have done to our house and how nice it looks. Funny how it takes someone like that to remind you just how much you HAVE done. I'm constantly thinking of everything we NEED to do that I forget how much work we have put into our little shack!
After she left I got tired of myself and decided I needed to go to town and do SOMETHING. So I went to the post office and dropped off all my ebay packages I needed to mail and then went to the jewelry store to find out about getting my ring fixed (I lost a little diamond somewhere). It is only $40 to get it fixed. gotta love the small town jeweler that knows your whole family. My Aunt, Uncle and Grandma have all worked for him.
After that I went to Michael's and exchanged my xyron cartridges. I wish we had another craft store so we had more selection in this little dumpidy dump town. Sure we have a mall but COMEON!! We need more stuff to entertain us girls that don't like to buy clothes.
Went to Wal Mart next and got some stuff that I keep forgetting to get (toothpaste, it's a GOOD THING). Ran into my Uncle, who is married to the Aunt that has cancer. She is doing really well and is going to go back to work in a couple weeks part time! It's amazing how they are able to zap so many kinds of cancers now. I guess she will always "have it" and it will come back in some other form eventually (from what my mom told me). Hopefully it won't be until she is REALLY OLD.
Came home and messed around a bit, started working on my bookmarks, then took Jess to her friend's house to spend the night, took the kids to Taco Bell for dinner. Came home and worked on bookmarks some more. I'll finish them up tomorrow I was getting cross eyed looking at them tonight!
Still doing good on my healthier eating. Tracking my calories at SparkPeople still. Hopefully I'll stay at it!! Saw this on the LOLCats sight, thought it was too funny!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. My only plans are to take Melissa to get some new shoes tomorrow.

3 Pounds Gone!
I lost 3 pounds by not eating crap yesterday. GO ME! Love the water loss you always have when you first start on a diet. I'm already down into a new "decade" of numbers which is awesome.
Yesterday I did some crunches and some push ups and jumping jacks. Yeah starting slow here. Today I just did some crunches (it's really hard to do a full sit up when you've had 3 c sections!). I did 35 and I almost feel like I could throw up a little. Not good! My goal is to try and do a few more each day. As soon as my stomach calms down a bit I'll move onto the push ups lol.
I think I need to find some work out DVD's. It's raining outside so I don't want to go for a walk.
Playing around on Spark People today again.

Feeling Better
So I'm feeling better now. I'm pretty sure I escaped the horrible flu. I'm feeling motivated today. I think I am ready to get back on the weight loss train that I lost somewhere over a year ago. I logged into sparkpeople.com and I'm at the same weight as I was almost exactly a year ago, which was the last time I logged in. I never got into the whole swing of sparkpeople before but I think I'll give it a try. I need to go to the store and stock up on some unstarchy foods.
Do you have a favorite low carb/low fat recipe? I'd be interested in trying some. I don't do anything too "difficult" so keep that in mind. Maybe post it on your blog and send me a link?

Jessica is mean and more
I'm sitting here stalking my eBay auctions, they are ending soon so I keep hitting refresh to see if I'm getting anymore money. Refresh. Refresh. Refresh.
Jessica is outside taunting her now EX boyfriend across the street. Today was the first day they went to school since she broke up with him and she has broken his poor little heart. She of course, thinks it is hilarious. I feel so bad for the kid. He's outside chopping down a tree or something so she's out there on the porch being loud and noisy on her phone. I really don't know WHERE that kid gets her self esteem from. Definitely not from me!
We seem to be out of the land of sickness. I have made it through without throwing up. The only one in the family to do so!! ::knock on wood:: I can't believe my nephew didn't get sick either. He was here on Friday when the sickness began. Poor Scott went to work for half a day yesterday before they sent him home. He came home and slept it off and seemed to be better last night.
Did you all watch the inauguration today? I was watching it this morning. I know it's all over blog land. I didn't vote for Obama but I still felt the whole thing was so moving. It's great to live somewhere where we can decide who we want to run our country (even if the one we vote for doesn't win!) That's definitely something you grow to appreciate as you get older and see how many places don't have the same luxuries as we do.
Refresh. Still no new bids. Darn

OMG
Everyone in my house has taken their turn puking this weekend. Scott threw up all night long then got up and went to work this morning. I feel like a ticking time bomb waiting for my turn.
I keep asking myself, should I eat this?? I'm probably going to throw it up later.
Please God of the puke and runny drawers, please just skip over me. PLEASE.

Neighbors??
I *think* we might be getting new neighbors. Please God, let that really loud truck not belong to the new neighbor. I'm really praying he doesn't go to work at like 4 in the morning or something. I saw a little boy about Trevor's age. That would be nice for him. Maybe.
Yawnday
So it's Saturday!! Whoop whoop. Kids, husbands, they're all here. Oh yeah not so exciting is it. I had to wait my turn to use the computer!
This morning I woke up with the intent to go to garage sales. The alarm went off at 6:30 am (gotta get up early to get the good stuff). I promptly turned it off. Not too long after that Trevor came in and got in bed with us. Let me back up a little bit.
Last night Trevor threw up and I was kind of hoping it was a one time thing. He threw up, took a bath, fell asleep on the couch.
Ok back to this morning.
So he climbs in bed with me and
I'm like "Umm, what's that smell?"
Lean over towards the kid.
"Whew! is that your breath?"
Roll over and try not to breathe.
"Dude I think you need to go brush your teeth!"
A little bit later he gets up and goes in the bathroom. I lay in bed and think ugh I can still smell it and he's not even in here. And it's such an odd smell.
So I get up to go help him find his toothbrush. He's changed his pajama bottoms? I look down at the floor in the bathroom and there is his crapped up underwear.
::Ding ding ding::
And there folks, was the source of the icky smell.
ok kid in the tub, clothes washed out, Mom's hands and nostrils now sterilized.
So I got myself together and went in search of some garage sales. Here's today's highlights.
GARAGE sale #1-
Drive up to the house and all the stuff for sale is in the garage. I see a kid with some kind of stick thing at the entrance, swinging it around and a bunch of people in the garage. I drive away without stopping.
Yard sale #2-
HUGE heap of clothes. I start going through them and it's some good name brand stuff.
Me:"Excuse me, how much are your clothes?"
garage sale woman: "25 cents each"
me in my head: "SCORE!"
So I load up a big black trash bag full of clothes. I have $40 on me so I know I should have enough. They have the bag in the garage while I look at what else they have.
garage sale woman: "she said you can have the whole bag for $5"
me: "really??"
in my head: "double score!"
skip ahead to a few garage sales later-
I got down this street (I just follow signs now, I quit looking in our suck ass paper) and there are TONS of cars. I finally figure out where it is and it's a really nice house with a really really long driveway. It's in a little section of town that used to be country and somehow stayed a bit that way, but it's surrounded by all the new houses. I'm looking around and find a few things and hear some people talking about how I guess these people are losing their house. So they were selling everything.
Literally.
They were digging up the plants in the yard and selling those too.
When I left I kind of felt like crying.
Later-
If you are having a garage sale, and you are selling shoes, offer them at garage sale prices. No one is going to pay you $7 for Vans that have obviously been through the washer and dryer. $1 maybe. $7, try ebay!

What a day!
Most of my day was pretty unexciting. I mostly just stalked my ebay auctions. I DID do MOST of the dishes. God I hate dishes. And I cleaned up the living room. So you can actually walk through the house and find a clean cup now :O)
I had to take Jess to the ENT again today. She is going to have to have surgery on her ears to fix where her tubes were since they are not healing up on their own. One way to get that $2500 deductible used up all at once! Sheeeett no idea how we are going to pay for that. Cha Ching! So we will be doing that sometime next week or the week after I guess.
Note to all people that have no children:
You think awwwwww cute baby!! I wanna baby....
Then think $2500.
I could buy a lot of shit with that much money!!
Not that I'd give her back or anything. She is kind of cute and I'm kind of attatched to her now.
She has been SO grouchy the last couple days, complaining that she's had a headache. Tonight she actually has a fever so that explains the head ache. I'm just hoping she isn't getting the chicken pox. My nephew had chicken pox all last week. He had the shot and all my kids had the shot. He got them and was at my house the day his mom discovered that he had them. F-U-N! So hoping my kids don't all get the chicken pox. It's bad enough they don't have school on Monday.
Didn't they just have a vacation?? What's up with all these days off!?!
It was cool when I was working and got all those bull shit holidays off. (don't take that the wrong way if you are a big MLK fan)
But now??
Not so much fun!
I crave my hours when everyone is not here and it's just me and the dog and the cats hanging out.
So anyways. Guess who I found on Facebook today???
Not one but TWO of the guys I had crushes on when I was in school.
The first one that I found today was sooo cute in HS. He's still pretty cute. He has a cute little wife and a cute little blonde baby girl.
The other one.
Ahhhhh he makes me feel all fuzzy inside just thinking of him. When I was in 7th grade, he was in 8th grade. I played the flute, he played the sax. He, of course, was never interested in me, and pretty much gave me enough hints to know that.
But I drooled for him for 5 years. He had the most beautiful smile. And those eyes. ahhh so cute.
But yeah. He's married now. His kids are kind of fugly too. Poor things. Don't know how someone so cute could have fugly kids :O( Must have been his wife. I couldn't tell by her tiny facebook picture if she was pretty or not.
And I of course, wasn't going to add her to my friends.
:sigh:

Melissa's Mission

My daughter is a nut
I just went and picked up the kids from the bus stop. Melissa gets in the car and pulls out a list. She went around and asked a ton of kids if they wanted bookmarks and made a list of their names and what they want. Silly kid! It's a huge list! I told her, umm not sure I can make all those! I made the 3 the other day for her to give to her friends. I didn't expect to be making them for the whole school (for free!).
On another note, after Christmas I took Melissa to the store and let her spend her Christmas money. She bought a Littest Pet Shop VIP. When we got home the code that it came with wouldn't work on their website. I emailed Hasbro and although it took awhile for them to respond (I'm sure they were busy after Christmas) they emailed me today with a new code. This is the second time I've emailed them and they have great customer service!

Little Highlights
A few little highlights of my day.
Sleeping until 9:00 before anyone came looking for me.
Looking over and seeing my loving cat next to me.
Having my husband make me (and the rest of the family) breakfast.
Getting a couple more bids on my eBay auctions.
Having bookmark orders to work on.
Going to Michael's for more adhesive by myself.
Watching Jessica and her boyfriend giggle while sitting on the bed of Scott's truck.
Scott doing the dishes.
Jessica making dinner.
Trevor being cute.
Melissa giving me her report card. Straight A's!
Everyone going to bed without a fight.
And with that, I'm about ready to go there myself!

I'm going to Hell
I was just thinking I'm probably going to go to Hell.
Why?? you ask?
Because when my neighbor sends me religious emails I don't even read them. As soon as I see what they are I just delete.
See??

Irons
I have a few irons in the fire right now. I listed a bunch of clothes on eBay (Here they are you know you want to go buy them ALL) and I'm working on some more bookmarks. TG I finally got a few orders. I was beginning to think my business had died out already!
Here's one I made tonight for a "rush" order
I have 2 more almost done and a little pile to work on tomorrow.
During the day today I went to my favorite thrift store and bought a ton more to list on eBay. LOVE that store. I thought for sure I was going to be way over my "budget" because my cart was so full but it was right where it needed to be. So now I have that stuff to work on listing.
I am debating on going to garage sales tomorrow. I really should go to bed if I'm going to do that! Trevor crawled into my bed while I was working on my bookmarks and is now fast asleep on MY SIDE of the bed. Must be the best spot.
Scott's sawing logs in the recliner as usual. I seriously cannot remember when the last time we had sex was. Is that a bad thing???? I'm thinking it is. Maybe I need to get all hookerd up and buy a bunch of booze and ship the kids off.
Soooo do any of you sell on etsy?? I'm thinking of maybe trying it for my bookmarks. What do you think?

The Price You Pay For Going on Vacation
My husband always acts like he's ok with me going on little trips without him. I've taken my fair share that's for sure. Recently he's been making some comments about when does HE get to go on a trip. I said whenever you want. I really don't care if he goes somewhere with some friends. At one point he was going to go away to a race down south with a guy that comes into his shop all the time. That was totally fine with me. Then he decided not to go. So I really can't feel guitly about him not going anywhere if he doesn't even have anywhere to go to can I?
Everytime I go somewhere I work my ass off before I leave. I get the house all clean, dishes all done and put away, all the laundry done. This time I didn't get all the laundry done but the bulk of it was done and there was a little bit of dishes in the sink.
When I got home, the front room was a disaster. There was so much stuff on the couch it was piled to the top, chairs, tv trays, clothes, etc all over the floor. Not to mention dishes and cups and water bottles. Someone had washed dishes once but there was stuff all over the counter and in the sink (I found a towel? in the sink and an empty milk jug?). Stuff on the counter is a big pet peeve of mine.
So yesterday I did the dishes, made dinner, cleaned up the front room (not perfect but found the couch and the floor) and did some laundry. I was in the middle of making dinner when Trevor came in from outside covered in mud. I sent him into the bathroom to clean up then went to check on him. He was trying to wash his hands but the sink wasn't draining fast enough so it was just a big wet muddy mess everywhere. I told him to just stop and get in the shower. So he stripped off his muddy clothes and got in the shower and I went back to what I was doing, thinking I'd go in and clean that up later. Well I got busy and I forgot.
Fast forward a few hours. Scott comes home and goes in the bathroom and OMG you'd think it was blood or something the way he was acting. I seriously have never seen him get so worked up about a mess. Obviously all the mess from the weekend didn't bother him a bit but mud?? So he cleaned it up and had to take out the drain so he could unclog the TON of hair in there (ICK!). Then he scooped up the clothes on the floor and threw them out the back door. I asked him if he was planning on picking those up later and he gave me a yes answer but his body language was saying no. And sure enough they are still out there. So should I pick them up or leave them for him???
I got up this morning and noticed he didn't bother taking out the overflowing trash either. And thanks for leaving your dirty clothes on the floor even though there were two laundry baskets right there. And the socks in the living room, those were a nice touch too. I really enjoy pulling them out from half way under the couch. I seriously wonder if he does this shit to piss me off or get back at me. But then really he does all the same stuff when I'm home so I just wasn't here to pick up his crap like usual. I wonder if he's ever going to grow up or if I'm always going to have to take care of one more kid in this house, even when the "kids" are all grown up and move out.

Valentine's Bookmarks

I'm backkkk
I had a great time at my scrapbook retreat! You won't see many pictures of me though because I spent the better part of the weekend with my hair in a ponytail-bun, my glasses on and no make up. It's cool hanging out with your homies! Lucky for me I had more than enough scrapbook theme t-shirts to make it through the weekend. This year was much better than LAST YEAR!. Here's a few pictures of beautiful Bodega Bay from our rental house.
And a view of our scrapping room from my mom's seat. It was a bit tight but 4 people had to leave Sunday and then we had plenty of room.
I scrapped ALL the pictures I took with me. Then I worked on bookmarks for Valentine's Day! I'll show them to you all tomorrow!

I'm out of here!
New Years Day 2009
So I woke up this morning to someone talking. It only took me a minute to realize it was my husband. Talking to himself. Again. Over and over. He just cannot play video games without talking to the tv. Or watch tv without talking to the tv. Or look at anything on the computer without talking to the monitor. It's SO annoying.
While I was laying there trying not to hear him I was thinking of those early days of our relationship when I would wake up and roll over and look at him and he would look at me and we would snuggle and kiss and tickle and play and just have fun before we even got out of bed.
Yeah that doesn't happen so much anymore.
I tried to get the cats to snuggle with me. But Buster didn't like it when I grabbed him and dragged him under the covers and held him tight and rubbed his little head. He did let out a few purrs but then he just struggled to get away and moved back over to his side of the bed.
So I opted for Sydney. Sydney hates to cuddle. She's ok if you just pet her but DO NOT hold her down. Which of course means that I do that daily just for the fun of making her *try* to like it. Which never really works. But hey she has a short memory and comes back again soon.
I think I'm an old cat lady in the making.
