Cooking In The Tupperware Stack Cooker

This was originially my mom's. It's a Tupperware Stack Microwave Cooker circa late 1980's early 90's.

First you pick your recipe by flipping through the 3 sections. Each section moves independently. I've made all of these before so know we like them.

Savory Rice Ingredients

All mixed up, this is the bottom layer.

Herb-Coated Chicken

This is the middle layer

Caramel-Apple Streusel is the top layer

All stacked up and ready to cook. I put it in for half an hour.

Finished Product

The chicken was a little bit pink still so cooked it 5 more minutes, than an extra 3 and it was fine. We have an old microwave too so that might have been part of the problem.

Total price paid for dinner?

6.82 which comes out to $1.71 per serving.

I already had all the spices, rice, and apples. I bought green beans, bread crumbs, caramel, chicken (1/2 a party pack). Not bad!

You can still buy a variation of this cooker from Tupperware I believe. Or go on eBay and get one like this. I just looked and they go from $10 range and up.

  4. I bought one of these cookers with cookbook from a garage sale 2 summers ago and had it on my shelf until tonight after being inspired by your fast feast. My family was impressed and so was I by how easy it all went together.

  5. I have had one of these for years, but I did not buy the cookbook when I got it, and have not used it properly all these years. Iam gonna look for a cookbook online, to see if I can get on the ball and make some great stacks to eat. Bless Ya

  7. I love it! I have been using this since it came out - and love, love, love it! I have this old cookbook, too. I have made lots of whole chickens on the cone and lots of cakes - especially the German chocolate cake!

  8. I have had the stacking cooker and the recipe book for years. But, now I can’t find the recipe book. Do you know where I could order one?

  9. You most certainly can get it from Tupperware. audreykelly.my.tupperware.com. I still have my original, which is the one you have. Use it almost daily.
