Graduation Plans

So guess where I went this afternoon? I had to go to the Parent's Graduation Meeting for Jessica's 8th grade graduation. This was the last meeting (of 3) and I missed the middle one so I didn't really know too much of what was going on. Although it really sounded like almost everyone that was there today had missed the middle meeting too. Anyhow, I had volunteered before to help with the decorations. Well you know there are THE MOMS that do EVERYTHING at any school you go to. I'm not one of THOSE. But I don't mind helping out if someone needs help. So anyhow sounds like they pretty much had things planned. I'm in charge of getting the paper products for the cakes for after the ceremony. So one trip to Costco and/or Party America and that will all be taken care of. Also going to help set everything up the day before and the day of graduation. Most of the reason I went was because Jessica wants me to go with her on the 8th grade field trip on Friday. I don't really WANT to go but I will go since she really wants me to. They are going to an amusement park so I know she'll have fun. Just not so sure about myself lol. They aren't doing things like we did when I was that age. We'd get off the bus and be told what time to be back or you'd be in big trouble. No, they actually want parents to hang out with the kids....

  3. Congratulations on her upcomming graduation! It might surprise you. You might wind up having a ball! I went skating last weekend at my daughters birthday party and it was pretty fun! Hope you all have a good time.

  4. Better to spend time with the kids than "those moms" who will no doubt be there. Good Luck!

  6. My oldest graduates highschool this year. Seems like only last week she was graduating kindergarten. I know im going to lose it in the boohoo department. Also, im not one of those moms who do it all for the shool either, mainly because i hate those other bitches that are so fake doing it.

  7. Oh no, I am so one of THOSE parents (hanging my head in shame). But not anymore. However, as long as I was only responsible for my own daughter and not to keep naughty kids in line, I would so be along for the theme park field trip. Congrats on her graduation.
